Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. seeks an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers in delivering timely, safe, and efficient service. You will collaborate with branch leadership to manage routes, track performance, and maintain compliance with safety standards.

The role includes training new staff, participating in weekly meetings, and occasionally traveling to cover operations. Starting wage is $26.00–$30.00 per hour, with overtime opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• CDL Class A license or ability to complete company CDL training within 90 days.
• 1+ years of transportation industry leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient workflows.
• Complete routes for absent employees and assist with morning duties (sorting freight, loading trucks).
• Monitor safety, DOT compliance, and company policies; track daily reports and performance.
• Participate in weekly operational meetings and provide feedback on performance and safety concerns.
• Assist in training new staff and onboarding; travel may be required.
