Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support daily branch operations and lead drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient delivery operations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of safety and DOT regulations. Starting wage ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, with possible overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Business Management, Logistics or Operations preferred.
• CDL Class A license required or must complete CDL training within 90 days of employment.
• 1+ years of experience in transportation and leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily branch operations and lead drivers.
• Complete routes for employees who are absent.
• Assist with morning duties such as sorting freight and loading trucks.
• Track and update daily department reports.
• Monitor safety, DOT, and company policies.
• Improve productivity, equipment performance, and customer service.
• Participate in weekly operational meetings.
• Provide feedback on performance, attendance or safety concerns.
• Assist in training and onboarding of new staff.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
