Job summary

Central One is seeking a Branch Manager in Westborough, MA to oversee daily branch operations, staff scheduling, and member services. You will drive sales, ensure policy compliance, and manage lobby traffic, training, and cross-selling initiatives.

This role includes responsibilities for mortgage lending, BSA compliance, and community involvement while maintaining a high standard of service for members.

Qualifications

• Education: Two-year college degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in customer service or loan dept of a financial institution with 1–2 years supervisory duties.
• Skills: Supervisory/training, consumer/equity lending knowledge, analytical ability, strong communication and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Back up for Branch Manager with branch operations, service, budgeting, staffing, and inter-department communication.
• Manage lobby traffic and staffing levels to optimize service.
• Provide backup on all workstations and branch roles as needed.
• Oversee training of new staff members.
• Create and maintain a sales culture; train staff on financial products and sales processes.
• Provide information and documentation to members on deposit accounts, IRAs, loans, and mortgages.
• Conduct mortgage, home equity, and consumer loan interviews; review credit reports.
• Act as a Mortgage Loan Originator as defined by the SAFE Act.
• Generate business through promoting and cross-selling and referrals.
• Conduct performance evaluations and annual reviews.
• Recommend hiring, firing, advancement or promotion.
• Open/close branch during hours; ensure security and policies.
• Assist with new product implementations.
• Conduct or organize meetings.
• Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects.
• Back-up to Retail Coordinator for regulated accounts.
• Perform BSA compliance duties as required.
• Be assigned or travel to any branch as needed.
• Stay current on equipment and procedures.
• Adhere to all policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as requested.
