Job summary

Insurance Office of America in California seeks a Branch Operations Manager – Commercial Lines to lead daily operations at the assigned branch. You will oversee the operations team, implement strategic plans, manage budgeting and reporting, and develop staff while personally handling a portion of book of business.

The role requires 5+ years in the insurance industry, 2+ years management, and active property & casualty licenses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in insurance.
• 2+ years of management experience.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required.
• Exceptional account management skills with 50% of time on a book of business.
• Strong communication, people management and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and workflow of the branch team.
• Drive annual strategic and tactical plans for the branch.
• Manage branch P&L and control costs.
• Understand and manage the annual budget.
• Communicate leadership vision for the branch.
• Build and manage a qualified operations team.
• Participate in recruitment and merger/acquisition opportunities.
• Ensure HR processes and policies are followed.
• Establish performance standards and monitor productivity and service quality.
• Encourage growth and development of personnel.
• Develop future branch operations leaders.
• Promote IOA values and improve engagement.
• Monitor performance data and act on gaps.
• Maintain communication with Regional Director of Operations and sales leadership.
• Resolve operational issues with branch sales personnel.
• Spend up to 50% of time on an assigned book of business.
• Develop and ensure core work processes.
• Enforce company policies and maintain high technical competence.
