Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in New York to lead daily operations, manage staff and drive customer satisfaction. You will oversee branch performance, ensure safety compliance, and maintain strong relations with customers while supporting the branch's bottom-line goals.

The role requires strong leadership, 4+ years of management experience in food service or grocery distribution, and a commitment to company values and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
• Minimum 4 years management experience in food service or grocery distribution
• Background in P&L, Inventory control, merchandising, hiring / training staff, front end, merchandising, cash control, payroll, security / loss prevention mandatory
• Strong leadership skills and capability to run a high volume warehouse operation
• Excellent communication, organizational and people management / training skills; customer service oriented
• Commitment to company values and customer orientation

Responsibilities

• Oversee general operations of the branch and ensure efficient operation
• Develop strong relationships with customers and resolve problems quickly and effectively
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations (HACCP, OSHA)
• Review financial and operational reports and take necessary actions
• Direct subordinates to manage warehouse operations including safety, inventory, merchandising, receiving and shipping
• Define service standards and monitor activities to meet branch goals
• Maximize sales opportunities through staffing and budgeting within guidelines
• Lead hiring, annual performance appraisals and development of management staff
• Supervise department managers and coach on employee relations
• Coordinate with Corporate Offices to ensure policy compliance and reporting
• Regularly review inventory and ensure in-house stock
• Complete all required reports and paperwork timely
• Handle special projects as needed
