Job summary

Border States in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Branch Operations Supervisor to lead daily branch functions. You will resolve SAP issues, oversee inventory modifications, and support branch purchasing and pricing development.

You will collaborate with sales/marketing to promote customer-focused programs and ensure quality customer service. The role emphasizes leadership during the annual inventory process, coordination of equipment purchases, and ongoing training for SAP and related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year business/trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience.
• Prior supervisory experience with a minimum of 2 years' prior customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical products and systems preferred.
• Technical ability to understand electrical systems with a minimum of 3 years of prior electrical distribution experience preferred.
• Prefer strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for SAP training, system upgrade coordination, and branch change management.
• Act as Training Coordinator regarding SAP, PC, Products, and Policy training issues.
• Develop or review proposals for purchasing equipment.
• Coordinate changes/upgrades with corporate staff and manage inventory modifications in SAP.
• Provide leadership during annual inventory process and with Inventory committee.
• Support branch purchasing, product evaluations, pricing development, and related functions.
• Promote customer-directed product and marketing programs within the customer base.
• Oversee inventory cycle counting, inventory performance, bin management, return management, and root cause analysis.
