Job summary

Allendale-Hampton-Jasper Regional Library System is seeking a Branch Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the Allendale-Hampton-Jasper library. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, deliver excellent service to patrons, and coordinate programming to meet community needs.

Qualifications

Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Three years of progressively responsible customer service experience.
One year of supervisory or lead-worker experience.
Valid South Carolina driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Knowledge of public library operations and customer service principles.
Ability to supervise, motivate, and coach employees.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Experience with libraries or ILS is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily branch operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
Supervise branch staff, including scheduling, training, and coaching.
Deliver high-quality public library services and programming.
Maintain branch facilities, cash handling, technology, and records.
Coordinate with the Executive Director and Regional Manager on strategic directions.
Oversee opening/closing, safety, and emergencies; maintain statistics and assets.
Assist onboarding, coaching, and training of staff; provide feedback.
Promote services and community outreach; build partnerships with schools and agencies.
