Job summary

Republic Finance is seeking a Branch Ops Intern to learn daily branch functions and the broader organization. This 100% onsite internship pays $15.00 per hour with a path to full-time employment after graduation.

You will gain hands-on experience in loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings while being mentored by leaders across the Branch Operations discipline. The program also covers regulatory training and cross-department exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior or senior majoring in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products.
• Spanish speaking skills are a plus for this location.

Responsibilities

• Become licensed and go through an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and all necessary regulatory training.
• Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings and fundings including allocating files for doc prep; auditing closed files; prep files ready to fund.
• Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President learning responsibilities at their levels to understand promotional path and career potential.
• Attend regional meetings and/or workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division.
• Learn about branch operations process improvement related projects.
• Learn about corporate roles where branch backgrounds are desired (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting).
