Performance Home Medical is seeking a motivated Front Desk Branch Office Specialist to support patient check-ins, walk-ins, and routine inquiries across our local offices within a 50-mile radius. You will handle phone calls, basic insurance questions, and coordination with clinicians and referral sources in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and skilled at de-escalation, with strong computer and typing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare customer service or related field preferred but not required.
• Background in medical equipment is a plus; training provided.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle patient inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with walk-in patient check-in for appointments and questions regarding equipment.
• Understand insurance coverage criteria to dispense correct information to patients.
• Approach each patient in a professional and courteous manner.
• Daily scanning.
• Routing and reconciliation of undetermined tickets.
• Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous manner.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Troubleshoot patient issues with equipment, in person and over the phone.
• Schedule patient appointments and assist Clinicians as directed.

As a part of our Customer Service team, you must be responsible, reliable, detail orientated and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. You must also have good people skills to deal with patients, referral sources, and insurance companies on the phone and internet. Previous professional experience or educational background in healthcare customer service or is a plus but not required.
