Job summary

FreeStar Financial Credit Union in Macomb County seeks a dynamic Retail Operations Director to lead Branch Managers and drive growth across the branch network. You will shape sales strategies, mentor leadership teams, and elevate member experience through community engagement.

The role requires strategic vision, strong coaching ability, and a track record of developing partnerships that increase deposits, lending production, and market presence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred or actively working toward completion.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience within a financial institution, including responsibility for multiple teams or locations.
• Previous business development, professional networking, relationship management, and sales leadership experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of branch operations, retail banking, compliance, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships and growth opportunities within the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives driving membership growth, deposits, lending, product penetration, and branch profitability.
• Establish sales objectives, monitor performance, and hold branches accountable for goals.
• Contribute to long- and short-term strategic plans related to branch operations, sales, and business development.
• Provide leadership and support for multiple branch locations, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing branch leadership teams.
• Ensure branches comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership and the Board.
