Job summary

SECU in North Carolina is seeking a friendly teller to provide exemplary member service across channels. You will greet members, open accounts, process changes, educate on services, and handle cash accurately.

Proficiency in a cash drawer system and basic computer skills are essential. Responsibilities include balancing cash drawers, vaults, ATMs, and coin sorters, answering calls, and supporting drive-thru operations.

• Good communication and numerical skills for handling transactions.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and development.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with schedules.
• Fluent English; cooperate with coworkers and maintain cordial interactions.
• Adhere to attendance policies and work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Handle establishment of new membership, open all accounts, and process changes in accounts.
• Educate members on available services and make recommendations based on their needs.
• Key all required transactions into the Margo system and balance cash drawer with accuracy.
• Balance the vault, ATM, TCD and coin sorter.
• Operate drive-thru window as needed.
• Keep daily and monthly records of reports such as vault control, checks, Visa gift cards, and coin sorter.
• Prepare, order, and verify cash delivery and shipment weekly.
• Assist members with account problems and reconciliations.
• Grant subsequent advances on existing credit cards with officer approval.
• Answer phones, file paperwork, scan documents, and perform other clerical duties.
• May begin training in other areas of branch operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
