Job summary

Mariner Finance is seeking a capable Lending Manager at our Kentucky location. You will review loan applications, offer tailored loan solutions, and manage existing accounts to hit branch targets while coaching staff for better performance.

With a Bachelor’s degree and supervisory or training program experience, you’ll build community ties, ensure policy compliance, and drive branch growth through active leadership and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in consumer lending or financial services.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience or completion of a lending training program.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Accounting, Finance, Administration or related field.
• Reliable transportation and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software, with the ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to meet duties timely and demonstrate problem-solving and leadership.
• Licenses to sell insurance products as required by branch and regulatory rules.
• Work at the assigned branch location, with flexibility for scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve loan applications using product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Retain and maintain existing accounts, manage lending, and help meet sales and delinquency targets.
• Coach branch staff with actionable feedback to improve performance and retention.
• Prepare and submit reports reflecting branch activity and growth.
• Develop business by networking with local establishments and building community relations.
• Implement branch auditing procedures to control negotiable items and records.
• Approve exceptions to policy as authorized by management and resolve issues.
• Monitor expenses and align with annual business plan.
• Investigate customer and employee inquiries and resolve complaints.
• Recruit, interview, and recommend candidates; participate in meetings and development activities.
