Job summary

NBT Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to lead a Tier I branch, coach the team, and drive sales and service excellence. You will develop staff, open accounts, process loan applications, and ensure compliant operations while cultivating new business in the Pittsfield area.

The role emphasizes community leadership, outside business development, and collaboration with bank partners. A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required, with travel under 50% and NMLS certification required or

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree or equivalent retail, retail banking, or financial services experience.
• Business development & outside business sales experience preferred.
• Excellent listening & communication skills are necessary.
• Organizational, interpersonal and customer relation skills.
• Ability to function in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
• Leadership management.
• Problem solving/decision making skills.
• Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• 35% Builds a motivated and high performing branch team through recruitment, training and development of staff.
• 35% Provides services to customers, including opening accounts, taking loan applications and referring inquiries to appropriate service partner.
• 10% Maintains integrity and compliance within the branch per audit and operations policies.
• 10% Represents the bank within the community and leads civic/community involvement.
• 5% Makes loan decisions and resolves customer complaints within guidelines.
• 5% Other duties as assigned.
