Job summary

Everwise Credit Union in Meridian, MS is seeking a Trainee to learn branch operations, compliance, risk management and security while delivering high quality member service and assisting members with financial needs. The goal is to develop the skills to become a Branch Manager.

You will support branch management, learn deposits, loans, account processing, and everyday controls, while participating in ongoing education and eventually float to multiple branches after training.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong coaching and leadership capabilities.
• Good understanding of branch operations, procedures and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Management and participate in projects and events to promote the credit union.
• Make quality decisions regarding deposits and loans following procedures.
• Process new/existing accounts and basic lending functions.
• Resolve problems through research and follow-up to ensure member satisfaction.
• Meet personal performance goals as directed by District Managers.
• Assist teller staff with operational support and member service.
• Participate in continuing education as assigned.
• Possible float to multiple branches after 4–6 months of training.
• Other duties to ensure efficient branch operations.
