Purpose

Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President/Retail Banking, the Branch Manager manages the daily operations of the branch to meet sales and service objectives, ensuring compliance with bank policies, strategies, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality customer service to individuals, families, businesses, and organizations.
2. Organize, coordinate, and supervise branch activities, monitor teller operations, and promote branch effectiveness.
3. Participate in hiring, training, developing goals, and evaluating staff performance.
4. Create and execute branch goals annually.
5. Participate in bank committees and special projects.
6. Attend meetings to stay informed on bank strategies and ensure efficient operations.
7. Conduct seminars to promote bank business.
8. Stay informed of regulatory changes and ensure staff compliance.
9. Maintain current knowledge of bank products and services.
10. Mentor, coach, and train staff to empower them.
11. Provide courteous customer service, handle transactions, and respond to inquiries.
12. Manage branch functions in staff absence, including customer service and administrative duties.
13. Handle safe deposit vault access, wire transfers, credit card applications, IRA transactions, notarizations, and signature guarantees.
14. Prepare reports, maintain inventory, and ensure branch upkeep.
15. Participate in sales activities and community engagement.
16. Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory policies.
17. Support branch goals and foster an inclusive, diverse work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent, plus specialized training.
• 5+ years retail banking experience, including branch supervision.
• Proven management and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with office equipment and software.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.

Physical Demands

Regular sitting, handling, reaching, and communication; occasional standing and walking; ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
