Job summary

US Med-Equip seeks a Team Lead I to supervise a growing team handling vital medical equipment. You will oversee branch operations, equipment delivery and pick-up, and ensure service excellence for hospital partners.

You will lead trainings, maintain inventory, ensure safety and DOT compliance, and coordinate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams. This full-time role requires travel and a focus on performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • One or more years of managerial experience in medical equipment rental operations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of two or more employees, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Oversee branch processes for timely equipment delivery and pick-up, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, listening and responding to hospital partners’ equipment needs.
  • Manage medical equipment inventory, storage and maintenance.
  • Load, secure, and transport life-saving medical equipment to and from hospitals per safety standards.
  • Help service, ship, and receive equipment in the branch warehouse and maintain vehicles.
  • Input and maintain accurate digital records and prepare reports on orders, maintenance, inventory, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups.

A Day in the Life

Team Leadership And Development


  • Supervise a team of two or more employees, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment

  • Participate in trainings to enhance team skills and capabilities and maintain updated knowledge of equipment, services, and policies


Operational Management


  • Oversee branch processes for timely equipment delivery and pick-up, ensuring operational efficiency

  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations


Customer Service And Relationship Management


  • Provide excellent customer service, listening and responding to our partners’ equipment needs

  • Uphold a climate of professionalism, including the use of company uniforms at all times


Logistics And Inventory Management


  • Manage medical equipment inventory, storage and maintenance

  • Load, secure, and carefully transport life-saving medical equipment to and from hospitals, adhering to company policies and safety standards

  • Help service, ship, and receive equipment in the branch warehouse

  • Maintain company vehicles


Administrative And Compliance Duties


  • Input and maintain accurate digital records and prepare regular reports on customer orders, equipment maintenance and inventory tracking, and track key performance metrics


Coordination and Communication


  • Collaborate with customers and company sales representatives, logistics, customer experience and other department team members to coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups and support for our healthcare partners


Additional Responsibilities


  • Travel periodically

  • Perform other duties as needed


Qualifications

Education/Experience


  • One or more years of managerial experience in medical equipment rental operations

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field

Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to work multiple shifts, including on-call as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs.

  • Ability to pass a DOT certification/physical

  • Own a valid driver’s license
