Job summary

US Med-Equip in Solon, Ohio is seeking a Team Lead I to oversee a small crew responsible for maintaining and delivering vital medical equipment and to manage branch operations.

You will lead daily operations, ensure on‑time delivery, uphold safety and compliance, and maintain strong relationships with hospital partners.

This role requires 1+ years of managerial experience in medical equipment rental, a high school diploma, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical equipment inventory, storage and maintenance.
  • Load, transport, and service equipment to/from hospitals following safety policies.
  • Maintain digital records and prepare reports on orders, maintenance and inventory.
  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and other departments to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
  • Travel periodically and perform other duties as needed.

A Day in the Life
Team Leadership And Development
  • Supervise a team of two or more employees, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing work environment.
  • Participate in trainings to enhance team skills and capabilities and maintain updated knowledge of equipment, services, and policies.
Operational Management
  • Oversee branch processes for timely equipment delivery and pick‑up, ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Customer Service And Relationship Management
  • Provide excellent customer service, listening and responding to our partners’ equipment needs.
  • Uphold a climate of professionalism, including the use of company uniforms at all times.
Logistics And Inventory Management
  • Manage medical equipment inventory, storage and maintenance.
  • Load, secure, and carefully transport life‑saving medical equipment to and from hospitals, adhering to company policies and safety standards.
  • Help service, ship, and receive equipment in the branch warehouse.
  • Maintain company vehicles.
Administrative And Compliance Duties
  • Input and maintain accurate digital records and prepare regular reports on customer orders, equipment maintenance and inventory tracking, and track key performance metrics.
Coordination and Communication
  • Collaborate with customers and company sales representatives, logistics, customer experience and other department team members to coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups and support for our healthcare partners.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Travel periodically.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
  • One or more years of managerial experience in medical equipment rental operations.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field.

Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work multiple shifts, including on‑call as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a DOT certification/physical.
  • Own a valid driver’s license.
