Job summary

Yuma County Ag is seeking a Branch Librarian to oversee daily operations at a library branch, supervise staff and volunteers, and provide high-quality customer service.

The role includes developing adult programs, assisting with youth programming, and reporting monthly statistics. Responsibilities also cover reference duties, computer instruction, and resource guidance, with occasional meetings with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited college or university preferred, or a Master's in a closely related field and library experience.
• Two years of library experience OR a BA with four years of library experience, plus supervisory experience.
• Ability to supervise staff, train employees and volunteers, and manage branch activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate Branch Library activities and staff.
• Provide customer service and reference assistance to patrons.
• Develop and manage adult programs and services; assist with youth programming as needed.
• Prepare monthly reports and statistics; handle cash and transactions.
• Instruct patrons on electronic resources and computer use; troubleshoot devices.
