Job summary

Cuyahoga County Public Library seeks a dedicated librarian to provide reference and reader’s advisory services, while guiding patrons in library programs and technology. You will contribute to collection development and lead outreach initiatives to advance community literacy goals.

The role may involve supervising staff, coordinating programs, and serving as branch head when management is unavailable, all under limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• At least two years of library service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and reader's advisory services to patrons.
• Instruct users in operation of library services and equipment.
• Participate in collection development and maintenance activities.
• Develop programs and outreach to promote literacy and learning.
• May supervise staff and act as branch head in absence of management.
