Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a Branch Assistant Manager I to support daily banking office operations and drive sales growth. Under the Branch Manager, you will guide the platform staff, coach on sales and service, and ensure compliance and customer service excellence.

You will balance policy with practical decisions, lead in the Branch Manager's absence, and contribute to staff development and performance reviews. A strong sales history in retail banking is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily management of a banking office under the branch manager.
• Achieve personal sales goals and guide platform staff sales activities.
• Understand major aspects of retail incentive plans and business loans to coach staff.
• Manage daily branch operations including overdraft/vault management and branch schedules.
• Ensure adherence to audit/compliance requirements and customer service standards.
• Act as manager on duty in the Branch Manager's absence; may deliver performance appraisals.
