Job summary

Municipal Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in New York to provide leadership to the branch team, coach staff, and drive sales, service, and operational excellence. You will ensure policy compliance and guide staff to meet corporate goals while delivering an exceptional member experience.

The role requires conducting onboarding, staff development, and collaborative planning with other departments to sustain high performance and secure strong customer relations at MCU.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 4 years in customer service/retail leadership.
• Minimum 3 years of banking operations experience required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven results in sales, service and operations.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and hold staff accountable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hiring, assessing, coaching, developing and retaining high-performing branch teams.
• Onboard and train new employees effectively.
• Model MCU values and align branch activities with corporate strategy.
• Develop and execute branch business plans to meet goals while ensuring compliance.
• Coach staff and manage HR processes including performance reviews and documentation.
• Promote teamwork and positive branch culture; address issues affecting work.
• Leverage data to track progress and address performance gaps.
• Collaborate with Retail and other departments to support member needs.
• Handle member escalations and resolve issues end-to-end.
