Tompkins Community Bank is seeking a Branch Operations Leader to manage daily branch activities, coach staff, and drive service-led sales. You will oversee teller operations, account openings, ATM balancing, and night depository processing while ensuring policy adherence and strong controls.

The role emphasizes staff scheduling, coaching, and collaboration with leadership to meet branch goals and improve the client experience. Prior banking supervisory experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a related banking role.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills.
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership capability; working knowledge of bank products and services.
• Requires active NMLS registration, or ability to obtain registration upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including teller activities, account opening support, ATM balancing, and night depository processing.
• Schedule and coordinate staffing to ensure appropriate coverage and smooth daily operations; mentor and develop staff.
• Resolve client inquiries and complaints and guide them to appropriate products and services; drive sales through service.
• Maintain and reinforce branch policies, procedures, and risk controls; support fraud awareness and use of prevention tools.
• Support development and execution of the Branch Business Plan and provide timely updates to leadership.
