The YMCA of Southwest Florida seeks an Associate Executive Director to join the branch leadership team. This role supports day-to-day operations, drives initiatives, and engages staff and volunteers in line with branch and association goals.

The position emphasizes stewardship of the Y's brand and community partnerships. The successful candidate will lead staff development, budgeting, program expansion, and collaboration with community stakeholders while ensuring quality, safety, and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
• Exemplary customer service skills.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry and certification requirements preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising.
• Ability to conduct authentic conversations with staff to ensure understanding of expectations and leadership potential.
• Knowledge of the community served and ability to establish collaborations with community organizations.
• High level of professionalism, with strong communication and organizational skills.

• Communicates the Y's impact to staff, volunteers, members, and community leaders.
• Manages departmental budgets to meet targets.
• Leads recruitment, training, and staff development.
• Develops high quality programs aligned with YMCA goals.
• Directs community outreach and partnerships.
• Oversees annual giving campaigns.
• Supports strategic planning and reporting.
• Ensures facilities and programs meet quality and safety standards.
• Participates in association meetings and stakeholder collaboration.
