Job summary

YMCA of Southwest Florida is seeking an Associate Executive Director to join the branch leadership team. This role supports day-to-day operations, drives initiatives, and aligns with branch and association goals while promoting the Y’s mission as a global, inclusive organization in the community.

You will lead staff development, budgeting, program expansion, community outreach, and collaboration with partners, while maintaining quality facilities and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years related managerial or team leadership experience.
• Exemplary customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of fitness industry and certification requirements preferred.
• Ability to manage budgets, marketing, PR, programs and fundraising.
• Strong communication and collaboration with community partners.

Responsibilities

• Communicates YMCA impact to staff, volunteers, members and community leaders.
• Manages budgeting processes for assigned departments to meet targets.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and develops staff for a high-performing team.
• Develops programs aligned with branch and association goals.
• Leads community outreach initiatives and collaborations.
• Directs financial development activities including Annual Campaign.
• Ensures quality and safety standards of facilities and programs.
