Job summary

Gulf Coast Bank & Trust seeks a Branch Manager to lead staff and operations at the Hattiesburg branch. The role focuses on delivering quality customer service, driving sales, and expanding deposits and loans.

You will oversee staff performance, ensure compliance, and promote bank products while representing the bank in the local community. Strong leadership, communication, and banking knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or 3-5 years relevant branch operations and/or proven sales negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of Regulatory/Compliance laws, teller operations, consumer/commercial loans.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, problem solve, supervise a team.
• General knowledge of banking products and various computer software (i.e. MS Office).
• Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize branch revenues, deposits and loans while minimizing operating losses.
• Develop business through loans, referrals to Mortgage and Wealth Management.
• Maintain and develop client relationships with calls and outreach.
• Deploy resources to optimize team performance and coaching.
• Monitor staff to ensure quality service and adherence to schedules.
• Ensure branch compliance with policies, procedures and audit requirements.
• Lead promotional campaigns and product initiatives at the branch.
• Represent Gulf Coast Bank & Trust in local community organizations.
• Oversee hiring, performance evaluations and staff development.
• Plan staffing, assign work and meet sales goals; develop morale programs.
• Identify training needs and implement plans to meet them.
