Job summary

Financial Plus Credit Union (FPCU) is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in delivering exceptional member service and driving sales within the Retail Delivery department.

You will lead branch staff, ensure security and compliance, and help achieve branch sales goals through coaching, cross-selling, and community engagement. Join a purpose-driven team focused on empowering members and growing the business.

Qualifications

• Customer‑oriented attitude with strong member service focus.
• Ability to grow member relationships and coach staff.
• Excellent communication with staff, members, boards, and external contacts.
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet goals.
• Experience learning core processing systems (Symitar) and basic business software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Branch Manager to supervise branch team and coaching meetings.
• Ensure security and compliance; manage cash controls and audit schedules/policies.
• Act as Branch Manager in their absence and oversee sales and operations.
• Lead coaching for tellers and MSRs; cross-sell products and services.
• Meet sales goals; pursue outside business development with commercial/consumer prospects.
• Promote teamwork and maintain high morale among staff and members.
• Interview members for loan information and assist with loan approvals.
• Establish new accounts and cross-sell financial services.
• Maintain knowledge of all credit union products and services and cross-sell accordingly.
• Obtain and complete documentation for consumer loans and closings for pre-approved and other loans.
• Enforce compliance with BSA, Patriot Act, OFAC and related regulations.
• Adhere to laws and internal policies relevant to the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
