Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller - Float to serve as the first point of contact for clients and perform teller transactions with accuracy and confidentiality. The role involves traveling within a geographic area to cover branches that need staffing support, under supervision of the Float Manager and Branch Managers.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and about 1 year of banking or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of banking or customer service experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.
• Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Accurately performs and supports daily tasks to maintain branch integrity (ATM balancing, deposits, etc.).
• Mitigate risk by safekeeping money in cash drawer and prompt transfer of funds.
• Interact with clients, anticipate needs, provide proactive solutions within Breakthrough Client Service Standards.
• Deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank products and services and stay current on changes.
• Discuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
