Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller - Float to serve as the first point of contact for clients, performing teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality. Travel within a geographic area to cover staffing needs under supervision of Float Manager and Branch Managers.

The role emphasizes compliance, risk mitigation, and proactive customer service while expanding knowledge of the bank's products and services. Eligible onsite performance-based incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with bank policies, procedures and systems.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and written instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and bank colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support daily tasks to maintain branch integrity and accurate balancing activities.
• Mitigate risk by safeguarding cash drawer and funds transfer.
• Interact with clients, anticipate needs, and provide proactive solutions.
• Deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank products and services and stay current.
• Discuss and uncover customers' financial needs to identify suitable products.
• Support branch referral goals by directing customers to appropriate business partners.
