Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a Sales & Service Guide to lead and coach branch staff, delivering exceptional service and driving sales in personal banking products across the local market. You will advise customers, refer to specialists, and ensure regulatory compliance while building strong community relationships.

The role emphasizes leadership, branch plan execution, and ongoing development of team performance in line with BMO’s standards and objectives.

Qualifications

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience - preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings.
• Working knowledge of branch technologies, processes, and performance metrics.
• Working knowledge of applicable regulations, audit standards, and related policies, procedures, and directives.
• Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a branch business plan to maximize business growth and wallet share.
• Probes to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrates promotions into conversations.
• Conducts sales calls and builds a personal referral network to generate new business.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Plans and controls unit operating expenses in accordance with forecasts.
