Job summary

Jobtailor in Greenbelt, MD is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Frontline Teller to join our branch team. You will handle cash transactions accurately, educate customers on digital banking tools, and deliver welcoming, hospitality-focused service in a busy retail setting.

You will adhere to BSA/AML and security standards, assist neighbors on routine banking needs, and participate in required training to grow professionally within retail banking.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
• At least 1 year of Retail, Sales, or Customer Service experience
• At least 6 months of cash handling experience
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Ability to adapt to business-driven schedule adjustments
• Ability to attend all required training sessions
• Lifting up to 25 pounds and moving/standing for extended periods of time
• Regular and consistent attendance
• Associate’s degree (preferred)
• 2+ years of Retail or Customer-facing experience (preferred)
• Proficient in G-Suite (preferred)
• Strong written and oral communication skills (preferred)

• Execute high-volume cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and complex negotiable instrument processing
• Maintain accuracy and comply with security, audit, BSA/AML, and federal regulatory standards
• Educate clients on mobile banking, remote deposit capture, and contactless payments
• Identify clients’ personal or business goals and recommend appropriate digital tools or banking solutions
• Greet customers and provide hospitality throughout the branch space
• Balance high-volume operational efficiency with community-focused service
• Support surrounding branches within a 50-mile radius and occasionally assist other regional locations
• Attend required training sessions
• Help customers, teammates, and the community while contributing to professional growth
