Job summary

Metal-Tech Partners in Geneva, NE is seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our fast-paced fabrication team. You will set up and operate brake presses and related machinery, ensuring parts meet specifications.

Candidates should read engineering drawings, verify dimensions with calipers and measuring tapes, and move parts using hoists or cranes. We offer competitive pay, health insurance, paid time off and a Simple IRA with company match.

Qualifications

• Experience operating brake presses and fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints for material needs.
• Ability to verify work piece conformance to specifications.
• Familiarity with measuring tools for quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate brake presses and other fabrication machinery.
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using calipers, protractors, and measuring tapes.
• Move parts into position manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• Lay out and examine metal stock or work pieces to ensure that specifications are met.
• Remove high spots and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches.

Job Duties :

• Setup and operate brake presses and other fabrication machinery.
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, calipers, protractors, and measuring tapes.
• Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
