Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and run conventional, special purpose, and NC machines to fabricate metallic parts at our Missouri facility.

The role involves reading blueprints, selecting tools, adjusting machine controls, and verifying dimensions through inspection processes. A high school diploma or GED is required, with machinist training or eight terms of coursework preferred.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Diploma or GED required; machinist courses preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines.
• Develop tools, jigs, and fixtures for production.
• Study blueprints and specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select and secure cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and coolant flow for accurate cuts.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.
• Confer with engineers to resolve machining problems.
• Assemble parts into assemblies and verify alignment.
