Job summary

HL Mando Corporation is seeking an NVH engineer to lead brake NVH development, collaborating across design, applications, CAE, and program management. You will analyze customer requirements, run NVH measurements, and propose countermeasures for brake components.

The role involves coordinating lab activities, documenting procedures, and may require domestic and international travel. A strong mechanical engineering background and NVH expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 2–20+ years automotive product development experience, braking/suspension focus preferred.
• Strong NVH knowledge; friction material experience is a plus.
• Familiar with NVH measurement equipment: Head Acoustics ArtemiS, Link Vehicle DAQ, NVH dynamometer Prolink, Capacitec probes.
• Computer literate (spreadsheets, macros, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work with multiple departments to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and gap analysis for NVH function within a multifunctional team.
• Use NVH measurement equipment and tools to assess and propose improvements.
• Perform FRF, modal, ODS, and transient analyses to understand dynamics.
• Conduct investigations using NVH testing methods to identify sources and propose countermeasures.
• Collaborate with Design and Applications Engineers on core projects and develop new NVH techniques.
• Coordinate NVH lab maintenance and documentation; consolidate test plans into DVP&R.
• Lead documentation of work instructions and capture lessons learned.
