Job summary

HL Mando Corporation in Novi, MI, is seeking an NVH engineer to lead trade-off analyses and collaborate with design, applications, CAE, and program management on brake NVH development.

You will use lab and virtual tools to assess NVH performance, conduct FRF and modal analyses, identify sources of noise and vibration, and implement countermeasures across conventional brake calipers, motor-on-caliper systems, and electro-mechanical brakes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2–20+ years automotive experience in product development preferred.
• Strong NVH fundamentals; friction material development a plus.
• Willingness to travel 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and gaps for NVH within a multifunctional team.
• Use NVH measurement equipment and analysis tools to assess performance.
• Perform FRF, modal, ODS analyses and transient response studies.
• Investigate sources of NVH and propose countermeasures.
• Lead trade-off analyses and document results for DVP&R.
• Collaborate with Design and Applications Engineers; develop new NVH techniques.
• Maintain NVH lab equipment, calibration, and documentation.
• Prepare reports and support reviews with customers and suppliers.
• Document work instructions and capture lessons learned.
