Job summary

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is seeking a BRAC Environmental Coordinator (BEC) located in Arlington, Virginia, with telework flexibility and some travel. The role focuses on environmental oversight for Army BRAC sites and involves developing action plans, coordinating restoration, and interfacing with regulators and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong regulatory and project management credentials and experience

Qualifications

Extensive regulatory knowledge in environment, natural and cultural resources.
Comprehensive knowledge of BRAC processes and environmental laws (CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, NHPA, SDWA, ESA).
Experience with environmental investigations, remediation, and cleanup actions at Army installations.
Experience coordinating safe transport and disposal of hazardous waste and pollution prevention measures.
Familiarity with Army environmental information systems (HQAES, DSMOA, READ, RACER).

Responsibilities

Provide environmental technical oversight for assigned sites.
Develop Installation Action Plans and supporting budget/programs per USACE guidance.
Coordinate site characterization, restoration, and munitions cleanup efforts.
Interface with regulators, Restoration Advisory Boards, and stakeholders.
Assist in property disposal negotiations and identifying alternative uses for property.
