Job summary

Ponaganset High School in Glocester, Rhode Island is seeking a Boys Lacrosse Head Coach to lead the program after school hours. The coach will develop players, emphasize discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academics while building a successful team and guiding individual athletes.

Responsibilities include skill development, game and practice scheduling, safety oversight, and collaboration with the Athletic Director and Principal to ensure compliance with RIIL regulations and district

Qualifications

• Experience coaching adolescent age students in competitive sports.
• Coaching application submitted for consideration.
• Meets Rhode Island/RIISL requirements for coaches.

Responsibilities

• Coaches participants in lacrosse skills for a successful experience.
• Supervises team members and teams at all times.
• Adheres to sport rules and district policies.
• Supports academic performance and leadership roles for athletes.
• Serves as a role model and communicates with the athletic director.
• Schedules practices and games with the athletic director and other coaches.
• Informs the athletic director about facility, equipment and uniforms status.
• Notifies concerns affecting safety to the Athletic Director.
• Delegates coaching responsibilities to assistants and volunteers.
• Performs other duties as defined by the athletic director and principal.
