Job summary

Ponaganset High School in Glocester, RI is seeking a Girls Lacrosse Head Coach to lead a developing program after school hours. The coach is responsible for skill development, game strategy, and maintaining academic eligibility among student-athletes.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching adolescent students in competitive sports.
• Meets Rhode Island and RIIL requirements for coaches.
• Must obtain updated National and State BCI checks.
• Hold current First Aid/CPR/AED and NFHS coaching certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants, small groups and teams.
• Supervises individual team members and teams at all times.
• Implements current RIIL rules and district policies.
• Monitors student academics and emphasizes academics.
• Acts as a role model for sportsmanship under pressure.
• Coordinates schedules with athletic director and other coaches.
• Reports facility, equipment, and uniform conditions.
• Communicates with athletic director about team issues.
• Notifies of safety concerns to athletic director.
• Delegates coaching tasks to assistants/volunteers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
