Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a Student Assistant for the Performing Arts Center to support box office and ushering operations. You will assist with ticket sales, will-call services, audience seating, and patron information to ensure a safe, welcoming experience for patrons attending performances.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
• Special Qualification: Admission or registration as a CSU student.
• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulatively.
• Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate).
• International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card
• Multilingual, preferably Spanish, is a plus.
• Reliable, dependable, on time, and possess high ethical and confidentiality standards.
• Understand and perform proper ushering etiquette.
• Ability to take initiative in projects of various topics assigned by the Box Office Manager.

Responsibilities

• Support Performing Arts Center box office and ushering operations with ticket sales and will-call services.
• Assist with audience seating and venue access procedures.
• Provide event information and patron assistance.
• Handle social media tasks related to events.
• Promote a safe, welcoming, and organized experience for patrons.
• Performance shifts are on an as scheduled basis, including evenings and weekends.
