Shenandoah University’s Box Office is accepting applications for a Box Office Manager. This is a full-time benefited positionlocated on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.
The Box Office Manager works under the direct supervision of theExecutive Director of Performances & Engagement and in closecoordination with the Communications Manager and Managing Directorof Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre/Director of Patron Services& Engagement. As a key team member of the PerformanceOperations staff, the Box Office Manager oversees all criticalfunctions of the conservatory’s box office operations, includingregular administration and maintenance of the Tessitura database;processing ticket sales, renewals, group sales, and donations;running financial and ticket-based reports; overseeing the tasks ofthe Senior Box Office Associate and all box office associates(work-study students and SSMT hired associates); ensuringexceptional customer service for our patrons and donors; andassisting with audience engagement and development by coordinating,designing, and sending patron communications. With more than 150ticketed performances year-round, including a busy summer musicaltheatre season, the Box Office Manager works an estimated 40 hoursper week, including performance nights and weekends.
