Job summary

The City of Lone Tree is seeking a Part Time Box Office Lead to manage ticket orders by phone, mail, and in person while delivering superior customer service. You will assist the Box Office Manager and oversee shifts, ensuring a smooth operation during showtimes.

You will process orders using Spektrix, respond to inquiries, and help customers choose seating while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of events. Evening and weekend work is required, with opportunities to grow in the Arts Center.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year box office experience with phone and walk-up sales preferred.
  • Experience with an integrated ticketing and patron service software system preferred.
  • All candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to Arts Center guests.
  • Process phone and in person orders using Spektrix.
  • Assist customers with purchase decisions such as performance availability, pricing and seating recommendations.
  • Assist and respond to patrons with information about our Theater.
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events and all sellable items.
  • Understand and uphold purchasing policies.
  • Collect complete and accurate data from customers.
  • Contribute to the environment of the box office by maintaining a positive attitude and genuine interest in helping others.
  • Oversight of Box Office representatives over shifts.
  • Ability to pull sales reports.
  • Manages Box Office during show times.

Box Office Lead – Part Time

Position Overview

Position is responsible for processing ticket orders by phone, mail, and in-person, while providing superior customer service, and assisting the Box Office Manager with other Box Office duties as assigned.

General Statement of Duties
  • Provide a high level of customer service to all Arts Center guests in a friendly, welcoming and efficient environment.
  • Process phone and in person orders using Spektrix, a web-based CRM system. Respond to box office email inquiries daily. Assist with night of show walk up sales and will call distribution, and mail ticket orders.
  • Assist customers with purchase decisions such as performance availability, pricing and seating recommendations.
  • Assist and respond to patrons with information about our Theater.
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of schedule, events and all sellable items.
  • Understand and uphold purchasing policies.
  • Collect complete and accurate data from customers.
  • Contribute to the environment of the box office by maintaining a positive attitude and genuine interest in helping others. Ensure an extraordinary patron experience from first point of contact through the end of an event.
  • Enthusiastic dedication to excellent customer service, a passion for performing arts a plus.
  • Oversight of Box Office representatives over shifts.
  • Ability to pull sales reports.
  • Manages Box Office during show times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of box office experience with a combination of phone and walk-up sales is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with an integrated ticketing and a patron service management software system preferred.
  • All candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Skills
  • Basic computer skills i.e. Microsoft 365
  • Assist patrons with various needs and effectively solve problems while providing quality customer service.
  • Perform ticketing and clerical duties, including patron file management, patron reception, cash handling, and data entry.
  • Answer all inbound phone calls with the highest level of courtesy and accurately answer all guest inquiries.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Sitting: Remaining in a seated position for extended periods.
  • Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another up to 5lbs.
  • Pushing or Pulling: Exerting force upon an object to move it away or toward the origin of the force.
  • Using Hands and Arms: Exerting force with hands and arms to push, pull, or manipulate objects.
Position Range

Hiring Range - $18.75 / hour - $19.50 / hour

Hourly Range - $18.75 / hour - $22.00 / hour

FLSA Status – Non-Exempt
