Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Lead Power Electronics and PCB Design Engineer to guide a team of engineers in PMAD electronics development for space-grade systems. You will own board architecture decisions, optimize for cost, mass, and producibility, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure design-for-manufacturing and buildability at rate.

You will drive trades, manage schematic and layout reviews, and support verification, qualification, and flight acceptance activities, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 8+ years electronics hardware development experience.
• Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
• Experience in power electronics hardware development, high-voltage switching and thermal management.
• Hands-on circuit design across analog/digital/mixed-signal domains, component selection and debugging.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221/6012/ A-610) and DFM/DFT principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB and circuit design engineers for PMAD electronics design, optimization, and production readiness.
• Own board architecture decisions for PMAD, including power distribution and layout.
• Drive cost/mass reduction, modularity, and manufacturability improvements.
• Lead electronics requirements, architecture trades, design verification, and testing.
