Job summary
The LEGO Group is hiring a Semiautomatic Specialist Operator in Richmond, VA to support line leaders with changeovers, quality inspections and cleaning. You will operate box former/closer and case packer machinery, follow SOPs, and escalate safety or quality issues promptly.
Candidates should have 1-2 years of machine operation experience and mechanical maintenance skills. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand long hours, and work a 2-2-3 schedule in a climate-controlled
Qualifications
- Technical education in Mechanics.
- 1-2 years of experience as machine operator on high-speed lines.
- Experience with cardboard processing machinery preferred.
- Good communication and math skills; ability to read a tape measure.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate one or multiple production machines (box former/closer, case packer).
- Perform changeovers, quality inspections and line cleanings.
- Detect safety/quality issues and escalate to team leads promptly.
- Support autonomous maintenance and 5S on the line.
- Assist maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime.
- Contribute to safe, efficient and quality production.
