Job summary

Recess Hotels in Savannah is seeking an experienced Spa Manager to lead Saltgrass Spa operations on-site. You will drive guest experience, brand partnerships, and team performance, reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with hotel leadership.

This working manager role requires hands-on leadership, strong wellness acumen, and comfort with spa software and retail. Weekend and varied hours are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of spa operations experience, including supervisory role
• Boutique hotel/lifestyle wellness environment experience preferred
• Ability to lead and develop a multi-role team
• Financial acumen – read P&L, manage labor, and retail performance
• Deep skincare and wellness product knowledge, interest in ongoing learning
• Experience with spa software (Book4Time or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily spa operations including wet circuit, treatment rooms, retail and locker rooms
• Maintain Saltgrass brand standards across all guest touchpoints
• Develop and refine spa operating procedures and service standards
• Manage Book4Time scheduling, optimize room utilization and staffing
• Handle escalated guest concerns with professionalism and follow-up
• Coordinate with hotel leadership on property-wide initiatives and events
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop spa team members
• Create staff scheduling balancing coverage, budget, and wellbeing
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching
• Manage retail inventory and promote promotions in coordination with marketing
• Grow relationships with Saltgrass brand partners and training sessions
• Support development of seasonal treatment menus and medical wellness offerings
