Job summary

Chateau Grand Traverse seeks an experienced Innkeeper & Hospitality Manager to lead daily operations of a boutique six-room Inn on Old Mission Peninsula. The role combines guest-focused hospitality with hands-on management of reservations, housekeeping and property maintenance.

The position includes an on-site two-bedroom residence, utilities, internet and parking, with opportunities to coordinate winery-related experiences and events. Weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in hospitality or lodging management leading teams.
• Experience supervising employees, managing schedules and housekeeping operations.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and property management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to participate in daily operations when needed.
• Weekend, holiday, and peak season availability.
• Experience in boutique lodging, winery hospitality or destination tourism is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee guest communications, reservations, arrivals and departures.
• Manage booking systems, room availability and guest itineraries.
• Deliver personalized hospitality and professionally resolve guest concerns.
• Promote wine tastings, culinary experiences, events and guest packages.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and schedule housekeeping staff.
• Establish cleaning standards and coordinate room turnovers.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards across the Inn and guest areas.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry and turnovers during staffing shortages.
