Job summary

Ambassador Hotel Kansas City, Autograph Collection, located in downtown Kansas City, is seeking a Server to lead guests through the dining experience with confident, empathetic service. You will know the menu, assist with wine and beverage service, and help maintain a polished, inviting table for guests.

This non-exempt role reports to Restaurant Manager and requires strong communication under pressure, the ability to move quickly in a busy dining room, and a commitment to delivering memorable

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain an Indiana Employee Liquor Permit.
• Ability to think and communicate clearly in high pressure situations.
• Ability to move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room.
• Demonstrate basic math skills with reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Knowledgeable of the menu, ingredients and cooking techniques and drink recipes.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests within 1 minute of being seated.
• Leads guests through all aspects of the dining experience.
• Provides gracious and professional food and beverage service with questions answered and upbeat atmosphere.
• Takes orders and inputs in the POS system.
• Communicates allergy and dietary information clearly on tickets.
• Replenishes beverages and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Delivers wine service when necessary.
• Assists training of new team members.
