Job summary

Hotel Teatro, operated by Sage Hospitality Group, is seeking a server to deliver memorable dining experiences in Denver's Theater District. You will guide guests through seasonal menus with warmth, knowledge, and farm-to-table service at The Nickel, in a historic boutique hotel setting.

The role emphasizes guest-focused service, accuracy in orders and payments, and teamwork within a vibrant hospitality environment. Part-time, hourly compensation is offered with tips and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function and restaurant and kitchen operations.
• Must know standard cash-handling procedures.
• Must be fluent in oral and written English.
• Must have vision ability to clearly see detailed guest checks, computer print outs, written instructions and to observe entire restaurant in dimly lit conditions.
• Must have manual coordination to punch buttons, grasp items in hand, and to balance and carry trays loaded with food and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers, serving the orders and accommodating special needs/requests.
• Remains attentive to the customers throughout the dining experience, adhering to service standards.
• Completes restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing sidework.
• Memorizes menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait station and kitchen service area.
• Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment.
• Attends pre-meal and departmental meetings to enhance communications and knowledge of products, service and facility.
• Responds to customer inquiries and comments with timely and knowledgeable information.
• Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
