Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Guest Services team member in the United States (Cambridge, MA) to create personally meaningful guest experiences. You will greet guests, assist with luggage and transportation, and provide information about local events and dining.

The role requires strong communication, a 1-year customer service background, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service or similar role.
• High School Diploma is preferred.
• Basic writing skills, professional communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of the community and area to assist guests with information on events, dining and entertainment.
• Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests upon arrival and provide information on the hotel and surrounding area.
• Receive assignments, keys, pager, radio, and special guest requests from supervisor at shift start.
• Assist guests with luggage to reception desks, rooms, or curb for transportation.
• Keep courtyard area neat and free of debris.
• Arrange transportation and assist guests into cars and with taxis as needed.
• Assist with booking tours and providing general information when concierge is unavailable.
• Cover lunch breaks for the valet and provide coverage in their absence.
• Ensure no parking zone is kept free for guest arrivals in emergencies.
• Notify and deliver messages, packages, flowers, wine, and other items to guests’ rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of surrounding areas and replenish supplies as needed.
• Return lost items to the Housekeeping Department.
