Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in hospitality or business management.
• Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time.
• Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex information to improve practices.
• Strong decision-making under general policies with VP informed.
• Highly developed communication skills to negotiate and influence others.
• Excellent speech and written skills to communicate with owners, guests and employees.
• Excellent literacy skills for reports and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the People Resources to attract, retain and motivate employees.
• Create an environment where guests are a priority and experience a positive and memorable visit.
• Regular personal inspection of guest rooms, public areas, back of house, banquet function set-ups and coordinate corrective actions.
• Manage all customer feedback online and in person with appropriate responses.
• Supervise work at all levels to ensure efficiency, completion and quality standards.
• Manage payroll and expenses, analyze financial information and monitor sales, room inventory, market inventory, and profits.
• Monthly forecasting of operating staff and cost expenditures and business planning.
• Monthly review of financial statements and control of expenses across departments.
• Evaluate market mix and take action to position the hotel for increased business.
• Audit time punches daily, approve staff timecards and payroll reports.
• Daily Entries of finances and accounting and send to finance manager.
• Audit cash drawers and petty cash and reimbursements.
• Recording and bank deposits matched to day end close reports.
• Partner with leadership to develop and implement marketing strategies.
• Control and update OTA inventory on Stay N Touch and extranets.
• Manage retail operations including purchasing, display, inventory control and sales.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure value purchasing.
• Oversee maintenance and capital programs, staff, equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Maintenance/sanitation of front and back of house to protect assets and ensure quality service.
• Inspect facilities regularly and enforce health and safety standards.
• Execute safety programs to minimize liabilities.
• Submit operations reports weekly and monthly.
• Assist with special projects and shift coverage.
• Represent the hotel in the local community.
