Job summary

IHG is seeking a friendly, guest-focused Front Desk Associate to welcome travelers in a fast-paced hotel environment in New Orleans. You will manage check-ins/outs, assist guests, and handle bookings with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Ideal candidates bring at least a year at front desk or guest services, strong communication skills, and a tech-savvy mindset. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends and holidays and offers hotel discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a bonus.
• 1+ year front desk or guest service experience preferred.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages a plus.
• Tech-savvy with basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
• Take and manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities and inform guests about ways to improve their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out—collect IDs, issue room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record and act on guests’ preferences, requests and concerns.
• Be a trusted contact for guests and involve management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required protective gear.
• Jump into ad-hoc duties as colleagues need help.
