Qualifications

• Front desk experience or customer-facing background is helpful.
• Knowledge of local area, services, attractions, and events.
• Flexible schedule including overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Comfort working under pressure with high arrivals/departures.
• Familiarity with hotel systems; ability to enter information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, with complete and accurate information.
• Complete all items on appropriate checklists by end of shift.
• Pre-assign rooms for VIPs, repeat guests, packages and special requests.
• Follow established key control policy.
• Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
• Submit all lost & found reports.
• Be familiar with fire and emergency procedures.
• Open, secure, and balance daily shift cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
• Verify credit limit reports.
• Monitor room availability throughout shift.
• Review daily selling status using yield management.
• Attend department meetings monthly.
• Communicate via telephone/radio with other departments.
